Matt Brandon has been shooting pictures since he was 10 years old with his father's Cannonet QL Rangefinder. He and his dad processed his first images in a darkroom built under the basement stairs. Captured by a basic photography course in High School, he went on to pursue Photography in depth at university. Matt's Kashmir trekking company, Frontier Treks & Tours, has been a perfect outlet for his photographic passion.
Matt has a special eye for portraits of people set in their natural environment. Matt shoots often for international faith based NGOs and takes assignments regularly. He speaks English, Urdu and Hindi. Having lived in South Asia for over 13 years, Matt has a cross-cultural understanding and sensitivity. This allows him to effectively work in both in his client's world and the world of the subject he is shooting. Recently Matt's work was featured in a traveling exhibition sponsored by the Indian Government for Indian embassies around the world. His images have also been used by international clients such as BBC, Honda Motor Corporation, and the Bombadier Transport Corporation.
